Subject: Decrypt S/MIME with PKCS11
Feedback Type: Question
Product Area: Notes Client
Technical Area: Security
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.2
Reproducible: Always

I have been trying to use a pkcs11 DLL to decrypt S/MIME internet mail received. However, the decrypt failed, and from console.log, there is no activity accessing the C_DecryptInit or C_Decrypt functions etc.

By using the cert exported from Internet Explorer, the notes client is able to decrypt the s/mime mail without a problem.

The cert is signed by a CA I created, while the PKCS11 contains the cert and key, which does not include the CA, is this a problem.

Also, I have tried to import the CA cert into Notes, but the result is just the same.

Moreover, there is no attempt to login to the PKCS11 driver.

May I know what is the requirement to decrypt with smartcard / PKCS11?
